Purpose |
| The National Honor Society (NHS) is an organization for high school students who have demonstrated consistent strength in scholarship, leadership, character, and service. Its purpose is to encourage the continuation of those qualities in the members and to promote the development of those qualities in the general student body. |
Membership |
Membership is by invitation based on these criteria:
• Enrollment as a junior or senior, • Being enrolled at Westminster Academy for at least one full semester, • Maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 or higher, • Showing leadership qualities by position and/or example, • Displaying consistent evidence of strong Christian character.

Projects |
NHS members organize school service projects and community service projects.
• Monthly visits to the Lauderdale Lakes Alzheimer Center. (Ministering with singing, fellowship, and crafts.)
• Fund raising walk-a-thon for the Lauderdale Lakes Alzheimer Center. ($3,000.00 raised for the center)
• Preparing and serving breakfast at the Ronald McDonald House. (One Saturday morning per month)
• Serving with Habitat for Humanity. (Painting and landscaping)
• Helping with the Harvest Festival at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church. (Set up, clean up, monitoring children’s games)
• Tutoring students in need of academic help. ` (One-on-one as well as classroom help)
• Cleaning rooms and grounds at Westminster Academy. (One Saturday per semester)
