| Seventh grade art is an intermediate, two-semester course designed to build upon the student's knowledge of the elements of art and the principles of design through work with a variety of media and techniques. It is expected the student will, at the end of the course, be able to identify various periods of art, the elements of art and design, and complete as many projects as time allows. This is a pass/fail course and it requires a positive attitude, and the wise use of time and materials. |
Eighth grade art is an advanced, two-semester course designed for the serious art student to expand the student's knowledge, abilities, and critcal judgment, to introduce new media and skills and to emphasize art history. The course is a pass/fail course and students will be expected to identify the various artists and their styles. Projects must be completed on time and materials used in a responsible manner. A positive attitude is required. |
