Headmaster's Message
The primary goal of the college guidance program at Westminster AcademyŽ is successful college placement for each graduate. Westminster AcademyŽ takes planning and preparation for college very seriously. The process begins when the student enters school, continues as each class prepares him for the next level of education, and culminates as he enters the college of his choice. Our college guidance program goes far beyond the traditional processing of applications. Not only all four years of high school, but even the elementary and junior high years have an impact on the choice of college. For this reason, all teachers and administrators encourage the students to challenge themselves, using their God-given abilities, academically and in the other areas of their lives. We believe that it is important for students to explore their interests and talents, then to develop and pursue them. Students who exceed the normal expectations and take advantage of opportunities available to them will find many doors open in their future. How a student challenges himself academically is of primary importance. However, colleges want students who will not only perform at a high level in the classroom, but who will also contribute positively to campus life through strength of character, involvement in co-curricular activities, and service to the community. With a strong academic curriculum, a myriad of school activities, community service tradition, and outstanding athletic programs, Westminster provides students with excellent opportunities to grow. The school is committed to helping all students achieve the full potential that God has given uniquely to them.
