Important Items for Westminster AcademyŽ Parents

Westminster AcademyŽ has a well-prepared Emergency Action Plan. Whether involving preparations for or response to such events as hurricanes, local community disasters, or other out of the ordinary events, the following are important items for you to know as the parent of a student at Westminster Academy.
1. If during the course of a regular school day it is deemed best to close school early, we will keep all children at school and ready to be picked up at the normal designated spots until you or your designated adult can pick them up, or if a student is a driver of a car, send them home on their own.
2. Westminster AcademyŽ follows the Broward County School System in decisions regarding closing the school due to severe weather conditions. In addition, school closing will be posted on the web site and you will be notified individually by phone of closing and re-opening of the school.
