Freshman Patti Kranz, in just her first full year of high school diving, has won the 2007 1A state diving championship. Her 409 points placed her just 6 points ahead of the 2nd place diver. Also, first year diver Madison Kahler achieved her goal by placing in the top 16 at the meet.
Swimmer Jessica Nederlanden, also just a freshman, placed 14th in the 100 backstroke.
